If you have several tools to get rid of weeds and still not that happy with any of them like me. You have to buy this. This little gadget is amazing. The large bow in the bottom gives you the ability to not have to work as hard. The tool will do all the work if you let it. The prongs are long and can get into the hardest most difficult kind of soil (dry clay) that other tools can't do. I've recommended to all my neighbors.

I have a lot of 'pigweed' or broad leaf weeds in my lawn and in some areas of my yard. I initially ordered 3 different types of weed extractors (I won't name the other two) as the total cost for them all was less than $20. The other two might serve for some other type of weed, but as for (what I call) pigweed, this one is the best of the 3. The leverage provided by the springy, curved piece of steel underneath contributes a lot to the ease of using this weed remover. After a small amount of practice, I was able to fill up a bucket of these weeds in no time. It doesn't work well standing up, it requires flexing the knees or crouching (hint: sit on a foot stool if needed) and, it is ergonomically comfortable.

The tool is very efficient in digging out even deeply rooted weeds. It is fine for weeding in the average garden or in other areas where weeds grow selectively. If you have an area that is heavily weeded, the tool will work, but take a lot of time and effort by the person doing the weeding. My recommendation is that the tool be used for selective weeding. If you have a major problem with weeds, you probably will want to attack them with an environmental safe chemical.

Bought this on a whim after my F*skar weeder snapped in half, and I'm glad I did. Good price and a solid, comfortable handle. I was skeptical of the hollow "dome" on the shaft at first compared to the solid bent handle of other weeders, but this provides JUST the right amount of leverage, a bit more than the last weeder, and it did a great job with pulling up some weeds that had deep, thick roots that were also weirdly delicate so they couldn't be pulled by hand. Plus, the seller is super responsive and finding out that this is a small business means I'll make a point to give them my business in the future.

I purchased this weeder last year from a local store not knowing exactly how to use it. The look of it was intimidating and I wasn't really sure. My previous weeder had broken so I bought it at my local store as I needed a replacement immediately. I asked the checker how he would use it and he explained a couple of different options. Well, that one still ,intact, but I always like to have back-up. With this one, the need for replacement would be because I lost it! It's incredibly sturdy (the new one I purchased from Amazon is even better than the original). Anyways, there are multiple ways to use it, sideway and, frontways. Buy this one and don't waste your time with the rest-you won't be disappointed!

If you hate weeds - which if you are reading this review, I’d bet you do - then you need this tool. Super compact. Easy to use. And makes getting all those pesky weeds super easy and quick. Don’t waste your time and energy trying to pick weeds without this (which is probably what you were doing previously!) BUY THIS THING!
