Everyone who sees it asks to try it out, and so far it has held up to 325 lbs with no problem. In terms of fitness, it comes down to whether you use it consistently and apply the techniques demonstrated in the videos on the included DVD and Youtube. Even a treadmill or bike could be termed a "fad" (although I think those fads are usually referred to as "New Year's Resolutions"). There are no magic pills or machines - fitness takes work, no matter how you go about it.
Bottom line, the Simply Fit is a fun fitness tool and I am really glad I have added it to my regimen.
