I never thought much about the weight of my hammers until I picked this one up. It is heavier than I am used to using. It does work exactly as a hammer should. The grip is designed for a beefier hand than mine. I wear a woman's size 7 glove and this is a little big for a perfect fit for me. However, for what I will use it for, "No worries!"

I have been a carpenter for 40+ years and I have used every kind of hammer you can think of in my years of being a carpenter doing all types of construction work,framing, forming,finishing, you name it I have done it. Not bragging either, I have owned my Stiletto hammer for about 20 yrs +- and I wished I had one when I started out 40+ yrs ago. To each his own but I wouldn’t trade my Stiletto for all the other hammers you could put in the back of my truck, cost wise, yes it is expensive but would you rather ride in a Cadillac or a Ford Pinto. Bottom line is you get what you pay for, need I say anymore I love my Stiletto hammers.

The paint chips a bit.. are you going to cry about it? It’s a little too heavy.. are you too weak to carry it? It’s good, it’s cheap. Works great.
