The pieces come sort of plastic vacuum wrapped on a black backing board clear cover over them not sure if mine was a bit old on the shelf bit of a mission peeling the clear cover off to discover the black backing stuck to quite a few pieces underneath like those terrible stickers that take forever to peel off leaving paper residue etc solution WD 40 and a razor blade takes a bit longer but at least yr pieces wont rust that easily after . Enjoy and follow instructions carefully first build obviously challenging but after that one could build it easily without instructions.

This was my first try at one of these and it was challenging. It wasn't perfect when I finished, but would have been if I knew what I was doing and was more patient. I broke one of the spikes on the face, one of the spikes on the tail piece was loose and I was afraid other pieces were going to pop apart when I was squeezing things tight.

I've been self quarantining for awhile now and decided to get this for myself to pass the time. I've been creating sculptures and building things out of wood and other materials for 3 years now so I thought this would be a nice challenge. This piece took me roughly 7 hours to build. It was a very fun project that kept me thoroughly entertained and now I have a beautiful display piece to show for it. This was my first metal model kit, or model kit of any kind, and I got a bit worried when people said it was extremely difficult. If you have a knack for building and creating things I say regardless of the difficulty as long as you have enough patience this is definitely a good purchase.

This was so fun! Very tiny and fiddly, but perfectly cut. Note the instructions say use two washers on the legs, they mean two washers on each side, otherwise it’s too loose to stand. Took about 40 minutes because I had to redo the joins a few times..
