The SO and I eat a lot of shrimp throughout the year especially for Christmas Eve. To peel and devein pounds of shrimp with nothing but a bulky pearing knife is not easy nor quick. These tools speed that process up. The blade on this is super sharp. The curve mimics the shape of the shrimp really allowing you to get in there plus it's got little teeth to grab the vein. Felt sturdy to use while also being flexible enough to get in the curves. Overall very very happy with this purchase.
