This is a great device. My first couple of attempts, I used pre-ground coffee. It was terrible. This lead to an internet search on how to make a proper espresso. There's a lot involved with it, including freshly grinding your beans and water temperature. I bought a small manual grinder, dialed it in, adjusted water temperature, and now I'm in business. I can readily make espresso wherever I am (provided I bring everything). It's great for a traveler, those in room coffee setups are terrible. Also great to leave in your office desk. I use mine daily.

We tested it today. made 2 cups of espresso. it was simple enough. after adding the boiling water and the espresso grounds, we pumped 8-10 times and the coffee came out. My husband felt that this was the best christmas present of all. he always complains that the motel room coffee makers make weak coffee. now he can use the coffee maker to boil water and make himself a demitasse of espresso.Nice gadget and small enough to toss into luggage.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for someone incredibly passionate about being outdoors (whether they're biking, hiking, etc.). They were so happy when they unwrapped this! I haven't heard back as to how well it actually works, but I know they had meant to purchase one for themselves a while back but just never got around to it. I think it was a good buy!

AMAZING!!! I recently returned a $100 espresso machine because it just didn't do it for me in terms of the body, flavor and crema. I thought I'd have to buy the $500 Breville Barista machine that my brother has, which produces a superb shot of espresso. This Minipresso purchase was my final attempt before caving and getting that machine that has way more bells and whistles than I needed. Alas!! This 'little engine that could' exceeds all the hype! Seriously, just buy it!

This product is quite convenient and reliable and while it takes a little longer to make espresso than a normal fancy machine would, for a manually operated and portable espresso maker, this little device is very useful and makes delicious coffee. Just don't pack down too much espresso too hard or it'll be nearly impossible to pump it.

Confusing to use at first. But, great product. I just use cheap espresso, level off the grinds without patting it down too much, screw it together, fill the water tank, and start pressing it out. It doesn't quite do a shot, but I'll go ahead and press another tank through and it yields a nice little strong cup of coffeespresso. Then I add a little half ounce shot of creamer to it and it's good to go. Then you just take the cap off, take out the espresso pod, wipe it out with your finger real quick, and rinse it with water. Besides being hard to keep your espresso warm, this is a great device which is compact and easy to pack with the little non perishable creamers to take in a bag to work or school, on trips, or especially back packing where size matters.
