We bought this for our little black dog because it’s very hot here in SW Florida. He would often stop in a shady spot to cool off or roll in the grass to cool off his back. He often looked draggy and tired, like he wanted to go home.

The damp jacket seems to be doing the trick. He looks like he’s enjoying the walks, and isn’t stopping.to to cool off like before.

The jacket is well made and fits him great. It’s very easy to put on…I just lay it out and put his front feet in, then connect the Velcro at the top near his head. This holds it in place while I zip It.

Just received the vest and I'm so glad I follow the advice of others regarding ordering one size smaller. My baby girl has a 26" chest and my boy has a 28" chest. According to the size chart I should have ordered a L for my girl and an XL for my boy, but the sizes run big. Since the vest needs to be close to the skin to effectively cool your babies body, the jacket size is important. Also, my boy has that sleek dobbie body so the vest has a little extra space around the abdomen. I could use the tightening string but since they will have packs on them it should not be a problem. My girl has a broader chest so the M is a little snugon her, so I have to use the wider zipper. Right now I'm giving it four Stars. Not only bc the size chart is off but also, the L covers my boy's back and the M looks like I shrink it in the wash, lol. I'll update my review regarding how effective the jacket is at cooling or warming my puppers later.

Ordered this for our black lab mix as he sometimes gets hot on the boat. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The zipper is a nice heavy duty plastic. The material has a rich feel and not cheap looking. I ordered the XL per the measurements and it was a good fit with some wiggle room.... But there is a second zipper line bilt in so I could adjust the fit of needed some.

I bought 2 of these, one for each of my pups for when we go hiking. They shipped separately which seems odd, but so far, they seem to like it! I bought an XL for my 50lb doberman mix, and a large for my 30lb puggle mix. They are just a little big and I could have gone one size down for both so that the fit was a bit more snug. My 50lb guy is an odd size so it's hard to find things that fit him but with the drawstring under the tummy it will at least stay in place.

I will say it is a bit difficult to completely wring out once you soak it, so be sure to put on your pup outside so it doesn't drip all over the house, but once the initial drips stop, it would be fine to use indoors.

The quality of the fabric seems to be well made and we took them for their first hike this weekend. They got filthy, but to my surprise once they were dry, the sand and dirt shook right off! That was a big plus.

I have only used this vest once and already I can tell a difference. My 10 year old Shih Tzu gets tired and easily overheats in the summer. In the video we are 3/4 done with our walk, at which time he is usually panting with his tongue out and slowly walking. Sometimes I have to carry him. But you can see he is happily trotting along. He was panting but not with his tongue out so he was definitely cooler. I checked his fur underneath and it was like he was in the shade. I didn’t make it sopping wet since our walks are only about a half hour and it was still working when we got home. I ordered true to size and it fit him perfectly. I love that it has a metal leash clasp so I don’t need a separate harness.

I've only used it twice, but it seems to do a decent job. My 80lb Goldendoodle has a passion for chasing Frisbees, but is not heat tolerant at all, so before what would happen is I would take her out the throw the Frisbee and after 5 minutes, she would be laying down panting hard. Now with the cooling vest, she seems to have longer endurance before she has to lay down and catch her breath.

The fit is just perfect using the extension zipper. the other one is too tight, but we've got a good fit with thr XL
