I bought this press after years of thinking it through. I've looked at manual presses and more pricey automatic presses, and after trying this, I am very pleased. I definitely would not try very hard nuts/seeds, but I use this mostly for sunflower or peanut oil. I grow a lot of sunflowers and you can actually throw the seeds in whole (unshelled) and get good oil! I will certainly be growing more sunflowers next year to keep up my oil presssing!
