   Purchased this as one of the Christmas gifts for my 90 year old Mother-in-law, who is crazy for giraffes. She's doesn't go out much due to being in a wheelchair, so I wanted something she could enjoy in her bedroom. When I received it I opened the package and took it out and looked at it. The face was so adorable that Mom almost didn't get it. lol

   It's hard to miss..it's not small. Your eyes scan the room and you go right to it. The colors are great, no odor. I found a gift that she comes back to. She talks to him, (it's a boy named Johnny) and shares her tea with him. In her own words," Johnny is sophisticated, isn't he Daddy? "To which I reply, " Stringently, my Love, stringently."

   One of my biggest pet peeves about stuffed animals with patterns is when the pattern doesn't match up on the seam. That is absolutely not the case here - I think I found one spot (no pun intended) where the seam and pattern were a bit off from each other. The workmanship is excellent, the legs sturdy, the head doesn't flop, and after a month of being dragged everywhere in the house, there's still not one single sign of wear and tear. The body still holds its shape, which is saying something, because this guy has been hauled onto the top bunk and tucked in several times. I would not suggest letting kids climb on it, and there's some obvious structure to him that could, theoretically, begin poking out through the years (wire in legs and neck, plastic molding in face). Overall, though, he's quickly become a favorite and looks as though he'll remain that way for many, many years.

   Absolutely beautiful! My grandsons love this. It's huge and sturdy, stands on it's own perfectly and so far holds up admirably to their rough and tumble play habits. The only improvement would be be if it was strong enough for them to actually sit on.

   "Gayle" has been with us for 6 months now and she's been carried and played with and tucked into bed. I was worried this wouldn't hold up to lots of play or moving around but it's sturdy! Very well made, and super adroable. She will be a part of our home for many years to come!
