I have to format the SD card often. Once the SD card is full, it is not overwriting as it says it does. There have been no issues with heat, even while parked in 90 degree temps.

Really impressed with this unit overall.

I purchased as I wanted high video quality, and a long skinny profile so that the camera wouldn't be visible from the driver's seat.

This camera does a great job of doing both of those things, and has the added benefit of providing some pretty decent sunset / night shots.

Big fan of the (!) button that allows you to save the last 60 seconds of video to a separate folder. I've been hitting it every time a driver does something stupid in front of me, for a year long 'bad drivers' compilation.

Bought this thinking about installing in a company vehicle and didn't want to pay too much in case of damage or loss. For the price it works very well. Comes with a permanent mount and a suction mount so easy to swap between 2 vehicles with no effort at all, it just slides off the mount leaving the mount(s) in place. It also has a nice long cord for the cigar lighter / accessory plugin. For someone with big fingers the buttons take some getting used to so it needs to be installed within reach but that applies to most devices these days I guess. The 5 volt supply is in the plug so to have it turned on and off with the ignition would need something else but I think do a gadget that plugs into the car's OBD port to make that easy. I imagine that might vary with different vehicles (Onboard Diagnostics are a "Standard" that isn't exactly standard for all makes and models). Works ok at night too.

Works great. I installed it in 5 minutes, and the wire was more than long enough to hide and run it along the ceiling and side panel, all the way under the dash, and to the plug. The manual was clear for me to set the settings to how I want them, and the picture quality is pretty good for an inexpensive camera. My friend is a claims adjuster and says everyone should have a dash cam. They're helpful with any claims you have to make. So, I definitely recommend this one. It's cheap, it works, it's always recording.

Within 2 weeks of ordering this camera, I was able to record an accident. The quality is great for the price. If i see something of interest, i immediately press the lock button and the video will be protected from erasure. Which is what i was looking for.

Small side note which might not be the case for everybody. When i tried to upload the video to my computer, the video was very glitchy and did not look very good but i learned that this was due to the video viewer on the computer. I was able to fix this by using a different video viewing app that i found online and the video turned out great. Overall, would recommend this product to others.
