Grinder Wood Carving Chain Disc

The Grinder Wood Carving Chain Disc takes the muscle work out of cutting, carving, removing, and sculpting of wood, plastics, ice, and hard rubber with the speed. The blade is held in place between two steel plates which provide a secure grip for cutting, carving, removing, and sculpting. This grinder chain disc is great for curved work, like the inside of bowls and fast waste removal.

Features:

The 4-inch diameter chain 22 tooth fine cut carver can cut in any direction while making the smooth cut, providing a smooth “finished” surface which is great for minimal sanding afterward.
Great for curved work, like the inside of bowls, cutting discs, resin metal cutting wheels for plywood, melamine, wood, stone, metal, plastic cutting, and fast waste removal.
Made of durable steel carbide. Chains can be either be sharpened using a chain saw file or replaced as need be.

This disk was so easy to use. Just go slow and keep the grinder guard on. I used this to carve out white oak wood to design a sailboat rudder. After carving out the general shape I used a belt and dual-action sander to clean up the wood. I saved a lot of time using this tool and the end result looked professional.

I have a twisted beam that I needed to plane the rotated corner off of so that the corner trim of the house would lay flat. Bad part was painted, paint being basically colored dirt with a binder--very abrasive. This allowed me to remove about 2 sq ft of painted wood in a tapered piece up to 1/2 inch thick. by that point was no longer cutting. could be re-sharpeded, but decided to just get another for the price to do the other end of the beam. Don't know what else would have worked.

This disk works great for cutting and grooving wood. With that being said, be very careful when using it because it can be very dangerous if the disk catches and jumps back at you. This could result is serious injury. I would not recommend using this on a grinder that has a locking on and off switch. If it is used with caution it is a great accessory for wood working

I used this product to remove bamboo stumps. It's really the only thing that has worked reliably to remove these 2-3" diameter stumps in the quickest amount of time. The maneuverability of the angle grinder prevents you from hitting the ground and ruining your blade like a normal chainsaw would, plus the tool is easily installed and blade replaced when it does get dull.

I believe this is a great starter kit and it allows you to learn more about your tools and how to use them and there will be a time when you want to upgrade but so far these have held up great for me so I haven’t seen a need to invest more money in more expensive tools.

Can be a little tedious to get the chain around and between the two plates all at the same time while trying to stick it on the grinder and tighten the lock but. But we'll worth it. This thing is a beast... It seems to stay sharp too. Would be awesome if you had a dedicated tool for this because once again...changing it on and out gets rather old.
