   This Purple Dragon Meat Cleaver is almost too cool for words.
   
   It's heavy, well balanced, and attractive as all get out. I can't decide whether it's a tool or a kitchen hood ornament.
   
   The grip, textured for real human figures, makes wielding this thing a very secure endeavor. And you want this when brute force is being brought to bear on a piece of meat other than your hands, fingers, wrists, and forearms.
   
   If you're an average kitchen denizen, you won't find yourself using this cleaver every day. But when you do, you'll be both effective, amused, and proud of yourself for snagging a kitchen knife—it actually stretches the meaning of the term—like no other.

   I think this will work well for chicken or beef bones, it's not likely to be damaged like the super thin cleavers. They specifically don't recommend to use on bones. I used it on some carrots and it was like cutting soft butter not that they stuck or anything (maybe a little), but it just slices through 3-5 at once with out any resistance. The sharpness and the weight helped with that. I slice a lot of carrots and celery too, for stews, cabbage diet soup, and especially Japanese sweet curry, I make that at least once a month if not more. This is a serious chopper, but beyond that it looks cool like some master made it in 18th century. Could be used as a show piece, but is totally functional. The price was pretty good to. Recommended.

   The quality and weight of this cleaver is pretty insane. I can honestly say you get far better value from buying this here than anywhere else I've seen similat products. Heavy Duty, grray design, excellent wood handle. It feels high quality but easy to use in the kitchen.

   This is an absolutely stunning work of art and craftsmanship. I wasn't expecting it to look so good honestly, but when I gave it to my S/O for Father's day we were both blown away by how gorgeous it is. He is a Butcher and didn't have a nice "fancy" knife yet so I thought this would be perfect for him. He loves it so much and thinks it's so beautiful that he may never actually use it for meat at all because he doesn't want to risk damaging it in anyway. I HIGHLY recommend this knife!

   Very sturdy, solid knife. I like the fact that it’s one piece of steel from the blade through the handle. It’s very well balanced, and the height adds a bit of leverage enabling you to chop vegetables/meat with ease and speed. I also love the finish of the handle. This is a lot of value for the money. People are paying twice as much on other sites for the same knife. EXTREMELY sharp out of the box. Even still, I sharpened it slightly before I used it for the first time...I think it might cut through a lightsaber!
