   Brie, our terrier mix rescue, outgrew her smaller collar like this and after adding many links, she broke it. We decided it was time to size up and so got her this size. She is as strong as our shepherds and could easily pull us down and hurt us, so this is our way to protect ourselves from injury. This collar helps to keep her under control and keep her from pulling or jerking the leash.

   We have a two year old German Shepherd who weighs 85 lbs, and the wife weighs 95 lbs. He's a bit too "enthusiastic" on walks, and needs to be on a lead else he chases the cows. We finally had to revert to this, to keep him pulling the wife's shoulder out of socket. We put the rubber tips on, to minimize the "bite". He quickly learned if he tugged it would clamp down, and we didn't need to exert any pressure. The collar snaps on cleanly, is easy to attach to the lead, and prevents a loss of religion during our walks.

   I hate to sound like a cleche, but i always thaught those vollars were so hardh and i honestly cdnt believe they were even legal. I have a boxer-pit, a pit, and a malamoi-pit....all GREAT dogs, LOVE their walks and literally DEMAND everyone they come in vontact wth to be their friend especially if they have a dog, theyve pulled me into a busy street, up ppls driveways with small kids or pets, and even tho theyr good dogs, ppl are scared and then apauled. So, i just turned 53 in june and I AM SO GREATFUL FOR THESE COLLARS.

   I got a medium for my border collie poodle mix and it fits tight (like it should) but if you’re on the fence, get a bigger size than you’ll think you’ll need as you can remove the things to make it smaller. Long story, my dog is very reactive and broke my finger while we were on a walk. Having a broken finger and having to deal with him, I was getting very close to giving him away. Noticeable difference. It has immediately stopped him pulling. I was worried because it seemed mean to put on him but it’s the only thing that seems to work. I’m very happy with the results and feel hopeful that I can get my dog under control and get him out of the house again.
