Item arrived as promised. The two sets were small but its a good starter kit for a younger child.I would recommend below the age of 10. Glass is smooth to touch and has felt bottom to not scratch the mirror-like board. You can use the box for travel as its well packed. I like that its glass so the kids won't fight over it saying its too girly or boyish.

I am not a chess aficionado but I am a little disappointed in the measurements. The Knight height claims to be 2" but the one I received is more like 1 3/4". I attached a photo and you can see the frosted one that was purchased on the left is just a bit shorter than 2"

I didn't spend my life savings on it, but would expect it to be a little more accurate given the state of our technological advancements

Since this is a gift i did not open the entire box to check out all the peices and make sure it wasnt broken. But the box came in like 10 layers of bubble wrap ON TOP of everything being secured in syrofoam inside the box. I hope the frosted glass looks nice. i guess ill find out once it is opened as a gift
