   This features many high end components generally found in much more expensive reels. The focus here is clear. Easy, light and durable. The system is uncomplicated while still offering the key components needed in a well balanced baitcaster. I have easily been able to cast and retrieve large musky and largemouth bass lures as well as light jerkbaits for smallmouth. Easy to dial in and set for literally zero backlash if done properly. Well worth the money in my professional unprofessional opinion.

   They cast far and retrieve smooth and do well bringing in nice bass. For the price I dont think anyone that uses casting reels would be disappointed but you cant please everyone. As fast as for beginners , you have to practice and have it set up and adjusted properly and you will be fine. I taught my 7 year old how to cast one in the front yard in about 20 min now he goes out and practices a couple times a week in the front yard with a senko on it and casts as good as me. The accuracy of casting will come with time.

   My first baitcasting reel. I practiced with it in the yard with a practice plug for 3 weeks before I took it to the water. Still get an occasional backlash but that's operator error. Working on my accuracy now. This reel works like a charm. I would think it would compare to a much more expensive reel. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

   This quickly became my favorite reel. It's by far the smoothest reel I own even when compared to other (more expensive) Kastking models. Not sure what's different about it but I wish every reel felt this nice. It casts really well and while I keep the mag brakes down fairly low, they seem to do their job. I mainly got this reel because of the crank grips which are fantastic. I have the same grips on a speed demon pro spinning reel and liked them so much I needed them on a baitcaster as well. For the price, I can't imagine getting a better reel.

   I used this for the first time today for about 4 hours and I absolutely love it. It dials in incredibly easy and casts like a dream. I probably made 200 casts with it and it only nested once, which was my fault because a boat was about to pass in front of me so I had to mash my thumb to stop it, other than that this reel performed flawlessly. I’ve tried a couple other reels lately and have decided to just stick with all Kastking gear from now on. They just work. Their prices are always within the budget my wife gives me (haha) and their customer service is top notch. After the headaches my last reel gave me this one was a dream.

   The reel is really good especially for the price. It is the first baitcasting reel I’ve purchased and I couldn’t be happier. Using this style reel is very intimidating at first but all I did was watch a quick video on how to fine tune it and I have yet to have a backlash! 100% a great reel to learn on and keep.
