Standard tape measures have their use - but I have learned to appreciate the usefulness of my new DTAPE for all the measurements required in changing an empty 1500 square foot space into a completed living space. I had no idea how much I would use this device and how much time it would save. I even use it for short distances now - and it's great for longer distances that make using a tape measure impractical. It's easy to learn and it has an auto-shutoff feature if you forget to turn it off (as I do constantly). I strongly recommend DTAPE.

I thought this laser tape measure would be helpful while setting up our projector, screen and speakers in our home theater room. It ended up being more than helpful it was essential. I was able to accurately measure how far our projector's lens was from our screen while it was mounted to the ceiling. That would have been such a pain with a regular tape measure. It is very easy to use and very accurate.

I am not very proficient in using lots function of this, but by following the instruction menu, I was able to use it very easily to read my distance measurement and area measurement when I do my garden tiles and fence measurement with my contractor. It is very convenient at the time, I just stand at the corner of my yard and activate the laser key, then I get the readings of the length and width with total area, I don’t have to walk across all the grasses to get the measurement, save my time for both measurement and calculation. I like it.

My husband is physically challenged, and it affects his hands and legs. One thing he has always wanted was a laser tape measurer so he didn't have to try to move between small inconvenient spaces, or get up on rickety ladders. This appears to be fairly accurate and it is very easy to use. It has more features than we might use for our home, but it is nice to have options for in case we do. A side unexpected feature apparently, is that our dog loves chasing the little laser light around the house as well. It's hilarious entertainment for us all!
