Attached nozzles did blow water out of bird bath when windy, though pretty. Removed attachments and works perfectly for my small bird bath. Even plugs along in the shade. Birds love it. Keep motor free from debris and you'll be satisfied!

Obviously if it sank to various depths you might not get a 'fountain' effect. Birds don't seem to mind, but an odd shiny floating circle thing does seem to keep them sipping from the edge, rather than bathing in the middle.
