    Contour gages are really cool tools, and of course there are other people who have talked about how they help with flooring and woodworking projects. For me, I have a completely different use. I'm a potter, and I will be using the gages to help me make templates for matching pieces of pottery. My photo shows how I can duplicate the contour of a favorite mug. I will transfer this to a piece of plastic to make a permanent template. The gages were packaged well in a reusable box for storage. The locks on both gages worked well. Couldn't be happier.

    I like this little tool. It’s crazy how simple it is but it took so long for someone to come up with this idea! There are many companies selling this contour gauge but not all of them are fair. Around that time, I saw this same device on Traby for many different sellers and decided to go with this company. So far, I have no complaints. Moves smoothly when pressed against another object. Locks and unlocks easily and plastic pieces stay in place even after I try to force them in the opposite direction. Will update if anything changes.

    I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical when I bought it. I was thinking to myself that this is just another gimmicky item. Boy was I WRONG! These are a wonderful addition to any DIYer's tool bag. I've used it for cutting around pipes (yes, just like the video), weird corners, and some personal crafty items to give an artistic look. Definitely glad I decided to give them a shot. Plus, they're durable! These things are gonna last through many years of use.

Need to cut that carpet to fit that weird old corner molding your parents put in your house 45 years ago because they thought it was cool but it's actually just a complete waste of space and looks hideous to anyone with normal eye sight? Well this bad boy will help you get through the measuring and outline you need to cut your carpet around that hideous garbage! Definitely a must buy.

    Made a tall cat scratching post and multi platform condo. Used the gauge to get the contours of the timbers we used as supports. The gauge really made it easy to get fairly accurate cuts in the plywood platforms. Each "tooth" of the gauge is kind of thick so the accuracy is not as good as it could be, but after you learn that, it is not a problem.

    Purchases this item to use while doing a floating floor installation. This tool made cutting the vinyl planks much faster! Instead of spending a lot more time taking measurements for edge pieces and marking out on the planks, I just used the contour gauge, locked it in, and transferred to my piece. Made the job go much more smoothly! And it came with two!
