   My youngest daughter just started kindergarten. Her first week was rough on all of us and she seemed so sad. She is a huge fan of April the giraffes new baby, Tajiri. She checks on his live feed videos every day. I thought this would make a great surprise to end her first week of school. She was so happy and loves it. She named him Tajiri and he stands beside her bed at night. Worth every penny.

   Based on the picture of the toddler with the giraffe, I thought I had an idea of how big it would be. The huge box arrived and I waited until Birthday to fully open it so that prying eyes would have nothing to see. When I completely opened it, I realized the neck was folded down and the giraffe was nearly 5 feet tall! Imagine my daughter's surprise Christmas morning! She was a little afraid of it at first because she thought it was real! Now my 3 1/2 ft daughter tries to carry it everywhere with her! We made an awesome Christmas memory for her!

   We got this for our daughter's first birthday because she seemed drawn to giraffes in books. It's the kind of gift you may have lusted after as a kid but assumed only super rich kids got giant stuffed animals like these. This gift gives you that big bang for a small buck. Our daughter almost immediately started pointing at giraffes in her books and then to this stuffed giraffe and made the connection. We took her to the zoo about a month ago to see the giraffes. She knew what she was seeing right away and we could tell it was a thrill to her that the real ones looked so much like her toy at home. She still gets such a kick out of this toy at 15 months. Highly recommend.

   I bought 2 of these - one each for my 2 year old niece and nephew - and they were just delivered. They are SO cute. Much better than I expected even after reading the reviews. They look much more expensive than they actually were and I can't wait for the little kids to get them. The fur is pretty soft and the face is much cuter than it looks like in the pictures. I've actually had it sitting out of the box in our house and my husband and I crack up every time we look at this goofy 5-foot creature. If you are even considering buying a giant stuffed giraffe for a kid don't wait - this guy is fantastic. I don't see how you could not love it- especially at this price.

   Listen everybody this giraffe is almost the same price as an FAO one in stores. The arrival of my son is a true blessing and with the theme of his nursery being Safari I feel like this couldn't go any better with that! The shipping was superfast and I definitely was not expecting that at my door two days after I ordered it, what a pleasant surprise! To be honest with you the giraffe is 99% awesome. My 1% would be a negative and that negative would be the hair that's on the back of the giraffe neck. It just seems a bit tangled and I wonder how well it holds up to a child pulling on it. In conclusion to this review if you need to buy something like this and you're looking at this product stop hesitating ClickandBuy you will not be sorry.
