I looked into so many different cordless trimmers before buying this one. The idea that I can use a trimmer for sidewalk edging, is silly to me. So I’m not going to even try it. The trimmer spins slower than my gas powered trimmer used to, resulting in less trimmer getting broken off on hard surfaces, like rock or brick. Getting more line to come out really is as easy as a button click.

I am able to trim my entire yard before mowing on a single battery charge. This trimmer is super light weight, adjustable and a joy to use.

This tool does exactly what I need..... It's very light weight, and with 2 batteries gives me plenty of battery life for the areas I need to clean up. It is powerful enough for typical garden weeds. This is NOT made for a heavy duty work load, knee high ropey tough as nails stalks and weeds. It is made for areas where I can't get a mower and need to clean up. That being said, I've attacked some pretty tough stuff and it WILL cut through them...it just uses my battery life more quickly. I highly recommend this tool.

My son used the trimmer for them and edged the whole yard he said it did a really nice job but because he used edger he said it ate up a lot of string. So just make sure you have a lot of spools on hand!
