Went to Montana last month to stay on the Yellowstone. It got unseasonably cold and one night got down to 15 degrees. That's REALLY cold when camping in a tent! We used this in the tent and sat in front of it for most of the night. One container of propane lasted the entire night on high. Thank God we had it- we would have frozen despite having multiple layers of clothing and Everest-grade sleeping bags. By far the coldest night I've ever spent outdoors. I would recommend this to anyone. It's lightweight and works very well.

Best part of camping, and there are a LOT of great parts about camping. We use it for high altitude summer car camping in the Rockies with a small canvas tent. We purchased a fitting to work with a BBQ propane tank and it runs all weekend (night only) without putting much of a dent in the tank. Just beware carbon monoxide poisoning. It comes with a built in low oxygen shut off but I also purchased a Home Depot CO detector just in case. Easy to turn on/off, haven't caught self on fire yet, but there is still time.

Purchased this little heater in preparation for the Great Arctic Blast in Texas. It saved my water line feeding my water heater from freezing during the subzero temperatures and single digits we experienced. A 16 oz propane bottle will burn for a little over 5 hours on low setting. Heater is easy to use; directions are clear and straight forward. Does a great job of heating an area basically 10 by 12 feet. BUT YOU MUST BEWARE OF CARBON MONOXIDE GAS. The direction booklet stresses this and it should. I would recommend this heater for a backup when the power fails to used for heating a wall with your water line or pool pump! Don't think I would use this in a tent unless it was ventilated properly. I did not purchase it to keep me warm; only my water line.

We bought this for our small pop-up camper as a backup just in case the camper’s heater didn’t keep us warm enough. This heater worked perfectly and kept us warm (almost too warm) all night in cold, Colorado mountain temperatures. It was easy to hook up to propane and simple to turn on. It was even quiet enough when turning on in the middle of the night that I didn’t wake the other people in my camper. Great purchase! Very happy with it.

Excellent heater!! Total game changer for camping, you can use the small tanks or buy a hose at Home Depot to connect it to a normal size propane tank, we had a full size tank that was about a quarter full and lasted us all weekend. We’d wake up so warm and cozy we didn’t want to leave the tent and normally we’re up and out to warm up in front of a fire. It’s also completely safe! We set ours on a collapsible side table but if it fell over or anything it will automatically shut off which is relieving to know. This heater is a must have!

This this is amazing! took it camping in Big Bear during winter and the only way we ended up sleeping at all was because we had one of these bad boys. It's a great investment and I can see other uses besides camping gear. I used it inside my tent to keep us warm throughout the night and one propane tank lasted a majority of the night on mediium setting. Not as effective outdoors when your exposed to the elements. Must have for any camper/emergency kit
