I don't use it as my primary umbrella since it's on the large side (in length), and on the small side (in coverage), but it's a solid reliable backup that always draws attention, and just having it around makes me happy. I bought this nearly 3 years ago, and I have no regrets about this purchase. Buy one if you want a cool samurai sword umbrella.

Just as a warrior needs a weapon, a hiker needs an umbrella... :) and this is the perfect one during a hiking trip in Arizona during its monsoon season. The cover strap easily broke though but the Katana like handle is deceivingly real. OSU!

The umbrella is awesome!! At first, I was disappointed to know that the handle was plastic, but the plastic looks real enough to be mistaken for metal. Also, plastic handles rain better than metal. The umbrella is durable too, but I try to avoid scraping the handle anything to keep the silver paint on handle. The umbrella is still useful in the rain after I carried it through weeks of stormy weather, but the best part of the umbrella is the ability to carry it on my back like it's sword. Ironically, most people thought that umbrella was sword until they took a closer look at it. It's fun to see people's faces transition from shock to laughter after I reveal the "sword" on my back to realistically be an umbrella!
