Unfold the fabric woven
Stretch two metal posts for the maximum length.
Put these two poles in the tunnels on both sides.

I've been using this for nearly a month. I got it to keep my dogs from rooms they aren't allowed in and to replace an older metal gate with something quieter. It is opened and closed SEVERAL times a day and is holding up flawlessly. I'm very happy with it. Because of the way I had to install it so the small dogs couldn't go under it, the bottom clip isn't used, more just to support so they can't push through. At some point I will likely get a piece of wood to mount the bracket so both clips are usable, but for me, it works. Very nice quality and even though I don't need the locking feature, it's nice to have it.

We have metal banisters at the bottom of our stairs that made it nearly impossible to use a tension type baby gate to keep our one year old from going up the stairs. I was trying to avoid installing exta parts to our banister just to use a baby gate so I tried this out using heavy duty zip ties to secure the hardware to the rails and it worked! I've had the gate in place for about 3 weeks and opened and closed it at least 10 times a day and it's still very sturdy! I wouldn't recommend this type of application for top of the stairs or if you have a child that would try to climb on or hang from the gate (this would have not worked for my now 3 year old when he was 1 year- it would've likely broken by now). This functions well for how we need it and looks nice and sleek enough when it's both opened and closed.

We installed this gate at the bottom of our stairs. Our 16 month old daughter constantly pulls on our other gate upstairs that is made with bars so we werenâ€™t sure how this one would hold up since it is a less sturdy material. She pulls on it every now and then before we are able to stop her but it has held up well and Iâ€™m very pleased with this purchase.

I find these retractable gates often to be more complicated than they need to be, but this one is easier than the other two we have in the house. You could even open/close it with one hand, which is more than I can say for the others. The biggest thing to get used to is having to push down and twist the lock after latching the gate. Easy enough. Looks good, keeps the kid safe, I recommend it!

Nice gate. Exactly what I expected. My home is very old and nothing is square, so the bottom latch is not tight and the top is, so my cat escapes under it. Also consider your trim for installation. If you have trim, consider that because when installed, the gate will not be low enough for sneaky cats :) otherwise, it works very well, is very sturdy, and keeps the dogs out of the kitchen! it is really easy to pull out and close off the doorway and to release. I highly recommend. I love that it comes with a second set of brackets so that you can easily move it from one doorway/stairway to another while using one gate for the same price. very happy with it!

For my 2 small pups (18lbs) this works very well. They were easy to install out of the box and work well to keep the pups from the rooms I donâ€™t want them in. Unobtrusive and donâ€™t look bad at all. High enough not to be jumped over and when locked the dogs canâ€™t push past. If youâ€™ve a large or heavy/ solid dog who was determined this wouldnâ€™t hold but for mine itâ€™s perfect. I was so tired of clunky baby gates. Iâ€™m VERY please with the $ spent on these.
