   Although I recycle and reuse most shipping cartons, it is a real ordeal to cut up large, thick appliance boxes to fit in the trash. Decided to try this mini circular saw and it works great. I cut up a thick box from a new TV and a tall box from a cordless vac in minutes. Sure wish I had found this sooner - it would have saved a lot of past frustration using scissors and a box cutter. You will need heavy-duty scissors and a couple band-aids to get the tool out of the packaging, though. There are minimal use instructions in text you will need a microscope to read, but is simple enough to use that I figured it out without having to resort to lab equipment. I liked it so much, I bought one to give as a Christmas present. Am glad I have it.

   This cutter works wonderfully on cutting upholstery fabric, quilt batting, and minky/polar fleece! I highly recommend this product! I have been sewing for years, but recently I have gotten arthritis in my hands and I haven't been able to cut the fabric. I purchased this cutter,and it is a lifesaver for cutting thick fabrics evenly and easily! I couldn't believe how light this cutter is, especially because it is powerful.    I needed to pull up about 500 sq ft of carpeting in the basement and needed to make the pieces small enough to lug upstairs and out to the garage by myself. The carpeting was kind of thick and I was not sure that this would work. It worked like a dream. Took me less than an hour and a half to strip it and get it all up. It still had some charge left when I was done. Saved me a ton of money over having to hire someone. And I now have a handy little tool to use on my recycled cardboard.

   I purchased this to remove carpet from my basement. I didn't want to try to roll an entire room and try to lift it to carry it out. I have physical limitations. This cut the carpet as easy as described. I did have to work a bit, to push it through the thick carpet, but it cut the carpet into pieces quickly. I removed 2 rooms of carpet, but cutting them into 2' wide strips and rolling them up, in less than an hour.

   I recently bought a boost rev which came in a thick heavy box. Heavier than the box a big screen TV typically comes in. This is a common thing I run into and there has been no good way to cut up the box and make it suitable for recycling. I bought this tool and Steiner tie the box pieces together. I was very skeptical of this tool, but the reviews said it would cut through my cardboard like a hot butter knife through butter. It’s not that awesome, but it did cut through the heavy card board with relative ease. And the smaller cardboard I might use a box cutter for was no match at all. This box was thick and heavy and almost as tall as I am. How to get rid of it? I thought, there’s probably a tool for this as there seems to be a tool for everything. Sure enough, this is the tool, and sure enough it works well. Cut up big box into smaller pieces, and do it without a lot of effort. I can’t wait to try it on a blister pack. I bet it works wonders on that.

   I cut up several cardboard boxes daily to make my own custom size boxes, and for the last 10 years I have been using scissors. I could kick myself for not getting these sooner. I have arthritis and the pain in my hands had been getting worse with every blasted box but now I can cut through even thick cardboard without any pain. The cutter weighs less than a pound and is very easy to use. It doesn't require great hand strength or uncomfortable hand stretching to press the unlock button at the same time you are cutting. This is one purchase I will never regret.
