   This is a nice little toy for helping encourage my daughter's interested in the solar system and astronomy with the model and projector. The projector is battery powered and pretty bright in the dark. The clarity is good enough to keep my daughter fascinated. There's English and Spanish audio that provides descriptions of the planets. The improvements I would ask for is a volume control to reduce the volume and a way to power it through a wall outlet like a USB plug or something.

   This is a great way to help kids visualize the plants and how they rotate around the sun! Such a simple concept which incorporates useful audio to tell you more about each plants. My kids loved seeing the images projected onto the ceiling. They are very clear. It is easy to put together and pretty durable. I'd say this is a great toy for a wide age range of kids!

   I purchased this for my great nephew, he thinks it’s the greatest. Comes in only 2 pieces stat snap together. The only problem was I had to open the box to see how many and what kind of batteries it needed. (3 AA ). The 3 discs are nice and clear. You have a choice of sound in English or Spanish.

   We originally got one as a birthday gift for a friend. He loved it so much I got one for my son. He carries it everywhere and uses it while he watches solar system videos on his tablet. The projector is also awesome and shows well even when the room isn’t totally dark. Love the facts it shares about the planets as well.

He is 4yrs old and enamored with the planets and solar system. He names the planets by sight and was delighted with the ceiling projections.    We are reading Planet topic books this period, we borrowed the DK published Planet from the library. My son love to look the pictures and play the solar system model. He learned the solar system very fast and well, besides, he really enjoy to play it. With projecting flashlight of the 24 slides, we can see beautiful solar system on the roof.    This was a great find! I'm homeschooling my kids and this week we are covering the solar system. This was a great and fun way to supplement their learning. It's easy to put together as most is already done for you, you just need to connect the stem and the base, then put the stickers on, and put in the slides if you are using them. Lightly push on one of the stickers of the planets and it will give you some facts about the corresponding planet, in English or Spanish depending what you have turned on. The accent isn't perfectly clear but you can understand it. Put the slides in the projector and focus the top and it'll show on the ceiling. There's slides for the planets, the galaxies, and space exploration. The kids loved it and it's better than I expected. Very happy with the product!

   I purchased this for my 4-year-old granddaughter, but decided she was not quite ready for it. So I waited for her fifth birthday and then brought it out for her inspection. Yes, she had heard about the planets and wanted to put the kit together. So far we have worked on it for two sessions. We assembled it together, and then she painted the sun and the planets in their basic colors. Next, she will paint the details and apply the glow-in-the-dark paint. She has very much enjoyed construction and painting, and comments on the relative smallness of the earth compared to the other planets and the sun. She understands that, so far as we know, only the earth has animal and plant life. Next we will talk about how the planets revolve around the sun and how the earth rotates on its axis, creating day and night. The kit is perfect for illustrating the two movements.

   My grandson spent the night. He loves space. He is in the third grade. I knew from the price that this was not going to be a fancy solar system. You know it was not fancy but he worked on it that night (really gave him something to do) he adored it. Well worth the money. I say buy it ...good for a birthday gift or a fill in the time gift. So much better than sitting in front of the TV....good buy for the money

   Exactly what I expected for the price. My six year old absolutely loved it. He needed help with the assembly but was able to paint it all on his own. One planet broke while putting it together. The center peg fell off and the planet did not stay together firmly. However once it was painted, the paint sealed it together and it’s now fine. Not even a big enough problem to warrant less than five stars, considering the fact that this set was so inexpensive. I’m extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive learning experience for their child.

   This was perfect for my 4th grader. I think it is well worth what I paid for it. I like that the arms not only said which planet goes on them, but also had a note about how far away each planet is from the sun. I thought that was a neat extra feature. My son enjoyed that it came with a small sandpaper to use before painting the planets, and the glow paint that comes with it. The fact that it's on the smaller side ended up being a good thing. It fits perfectly on his dresser, and he can look at it every day for a long time to come.

   Small but great if you don't have space for a big permanent one. My daughter is 7 and really enjoyed painting and assembling this together. The plastic sphere halfs need to be snapped together which I found was hardest for her. If we had to do it again I would make sure I broke each one out of their holders one planet at a time. The reason is that some planets are the same size and the labeling is just one really small character printed on the inside of the shape. So, I just had to find, read and snap them together. She did all the painting and was able to read the gray arms that they sit on. They don't snap on so they can come off easily but so far we haven't lost a planet or the sun. My daughter has learned well with it and it was fun for her to do. Would recommend to others as a home learning device.

   This is a great project for kids who are learning about space and the planets. My oldest who’s 11 was able to do it all by himself, but my 7 yrs. old needed help. The planets and arms are all labeled, but the metal pegs are not so it was kinda tricky deciding which one went to what planet. The arms do rotate allowing you to change the position of the planets. We did not use the paint that came with the kit, but instead used our own acrylic paint. It was decent my kids just wanted different colors. Once the paint dried it was all very easy to assemble. Overall my kids really enjoyed the kit and I would buy it again.

   My son wants to become an auerospace Engineer and a professor who invented the Oscar 3 who mentors him (asperger age 10) had gave me a few gift ideas for his birthday. Hex robotics, Engineering activities for kids, Auerospace engineer book for kids, This was one of the gift ideas and he loved it. He loved them all. He immediately started working on this and telling me the whole solor system. I knew he knew a little but not that much lol. But then again he is mentored by an auerospace and mechanical inventor professor. This is a must for the space lovers and does not break your pocket. They also have this at walmart same price.

   This was the perfect activity for our 3 and 6 year old boys to do on a rainy day. It was easy to assemble and they loved painting each of the planets. Our 3 year old loves it so much that he carries it to bed with him each night and puts it by his bed and then brings it to the breadfast table each morning. He loves explaining the differences and characteristics of each of the planets. It's been such a big hit that other family members are now looking at ordering it for their kids/grandkids. For the price you definitely can't go wrong.

   I like this gift set for its unique 3-D quality. It easy to do if given to an older kid. I gave it to a cute 4 year old girl but she has difficulty painting the teeny tiny planets. However, she got overjoyed when she put the assembled, painted solar system in the dark and found it glowing in the dark!

   My son needed a solar system model for a class project. This was reasonably priced and looked like it would fulfill the requirements. It is very small. Look at the product specs. before buying. He had fun painting the planets. Doesn't take much time, and he was able to build it all himself. He's 11. It came with all needed supplies. He did use a different paintbrush. The one that comes with it is like all the cheap paint set brushes. Stiff and hard to use bristles. It was neat how the planets all orbited each other.

   My six year old had a lot of fun painting this. Certainly adult supervision was needed to set it up but not so much for the painting. It was a good indoor activity, took over an hour for her to paint...score!! We bought a kid's book about planets and she enjoyed reading about the planets after doing the kit. I would recommend this as a birthday gift or cheap rainy day activity. It's not the best quality but for the price it is totally fine.

   This was a Christmas gift and it was a real hit. My grandson loves anything to do with science and being able to paint something just makes its that much better. It is easy to assemble and can be painted however they like. This is a great way to learn about the planets and encouraged him to look up more facts about the solar system. This is a great way to get a kid to learn in a fun way. I highly recommend this as a gift.
