However, my bad attention to detail was not measuring the window pane before purchasing. The window was wider than the dimensions of the tint, which meant the only way to tint the window was to cut two stripes and mount, which is impossible to stitch without seeing a seem. Make sure the dimensions of this product is larger than your desired window pane. It's easy to cut the excess tint of one large piece of tint than it is to stitch two-pieces of tint. This was my mistake and not the product. Hope this helps!

Our front room, that faces the afternoon sun, has two enormous Victorian windows. We have tried insulated black out curtains, other sunblocking film products, etc. this is simple to apply and works to reduce the heat and temperature in the room. Does not completely block out heat. Effective enough to make the room comfortable, rather than so hot we sit there sweating like we are in a sauna. Like that we are also able to look out the windows and still have privacy. There are video instructions for installing here and on YouTube. Basically clean your window. Cut to size, Spray water on window, Taking bucking off and apply “mirror side” out. Work out bubble with scrapper. A water spray bottle, window cleaner tool and plastic scrapper helpful. Process kind of like applying a Flexible protective screen to your tablet or phone.

I'm glad I gave this a try, it is great. Has eliminated the need for heavy curtains yet keeps the heat during the day out as well as keeping prying eyes out. Wish I had discovered this long ago. I like that I can put it on the lower half of the windows and keep the upper half uncovered in certain rooms to be able to still see outside. The only drawback is that in the pictures it seems to be in different colors when it is not. Will be back for more though.

I got the mirrored film to put on my door to help keep the summer heat out. Immediately I could tell a difference. It is easy to install if you follow the directions. You have to peel the plastic off the back so it will stick. It was enough to do the center of my door and the two small windows on the side. I ordered a second one to cover the window over the top of the door. I highly recommend it!!

If you follow directions and look over suggestions in the reviews, you will do fine. My husband held the sized film while I peeled off part of the backing. We lined it up on the window, I removed the rest of the backing and smoothed it with our shower squeegee. What really helps initially is that I sprayed the window with water into which I had put a drop of Dawn detergent. That helped us to slide the film into place. Then I used the squeegee to move the soapy water from under the film. The window is on the side of our garage that gets the afternoon sun. This film is making a big difference in the temperature in our garage.

I was doubtful that this would work, but I'm thrilled with my purchase. I've bought about 5 rolls at this point, because the privacy I get from it is completely worth it. I was originally worried that the tint would make the rooms I installed it in too dark, but while the difference is there, it's very slight. My place is still bright and sunny, but now it's private.
