This worked fine. I used a very small stiff-bristled brush to apply instead of the applicator supplied. I repaired one big and complex tear. It looks pretty good upon close inspection, not visible to the casual looker. I did a few small repair that are almost invisible.

It’s pretty simple to use and may take a practice try to get familiar with using the product. It comes with a color mix guide but if you’re familiar with mixing colors you can eye it for the best color match. Some tips: try to make the application as smooth as possible and use the texture stamp before it fully dries. There seems to be a few reviews that show they didn’t read the directions fully. The texture paper is a stamp and shouldn’t be left on the product while drying. Also, please don’t forget to use Vaseline/ petroleum jelly on the texture paper before applying it or it will stick and pull off the product. It’s not perfect but it’s great for small repairs.

We have repaired two saddles with this, it is amazing, works wonderful and holds up to the conditions of horseback riding. Both saddles look really good after being repaired with ReStor-It. And we repaired some deep scratches and saddlehorns with leather missing. Can't tell the difference between the original leather and ReStor-It. Great product!!

This is my second bottle of this stuff. The first one was basically useless: What came out was the color and consistency of skim milk, and didn't adhere *anything*. I wouldn't have tried it again except that I noticed when the bottle was empty it was heavier than expected, so I cut it open and found a big, sticky plug of white goo. I figured maybe one of my kids had left it partially open by accident, so I gave it another shot and boy am I glad I did.
