Though a little confusing when you spread out the contents, when assembled, this is one heck of a sharpener.Had to really put this to the test on first use, so I grabbed an old knife from the tackle box. We know those knifes are always dull, cut few things and full of rust.Couple shots of WD-40 to clean rust then began sharpening the knife. After just 3 minutes and 100 strokes on each side. This knife can now compete with the best Ginsu knifes.

Well... I sharpened my kitchen knife dropped it and almost lost my toes. This sharpener can sharpen past a normal person's ability to not slice an appendage off. I mean one swipe and there goes a arm, leg or something else that sticks out. This can sharpen a knife to the point that I imagine a Light Saber would do the same damag. This should not be sold to most of the population as I would imagine a whole civilization with out fingers, toes, and other things. On the other hand I do like my tomato slices to be see through and able to fly off the plate with a stiff breeze. I also enjoy being able to split atoms with the edge of the blade after using this sharpener. I personally find the ability to make my kitchen knives sharper than a scalpel in case I need to do an emergency appendectomy in my kitchen comforting. YES THIS THING WORKS....BE CAREFUL

The product is truly AMAZING! I get bored trying to sharpen knives. They almost end up sadder than before I started. This sharpener produces a very precise razor edge and has a straight edge on everything. Short learning curve and then an edge to give you bragging rights. As an added bonus, I discovered how little time and effort it takes once you learn how to use it correctly. Money well spent.

Love love love love love this product. One of the very few products I've ever ordered that turned out to be even better than I expected. I have now fallen in love with my knives again because they are just incredibly sharp. The only question I have, and I don't know if it's design or flaw, is the angle of the blade is different when one side is face up versus the other. The explanation for that isn't covered anywhere, so I wonder if it's supposed to be like that, and if not if if there's something I should do to accommodate for the change.
