This item is exactly as described. Works with your home WIFI, no additional monthly plans needed. We put ours in an existing light socket by the front door. Works extremely well. Set up was quick and easy. Covers the entire front yard. Zooms well into farther areas. The features discussed in the product description are all easy to use. Camera is controlled by an app on our phones. App is very user friendly. Very impressive little device.

This product is the answer to my problems. I had a system installed professionally and all it did was stall on me and the recording was horrible. I bought this system and it works great no stalling and playback is amazing. I have them outside and inside. Love it so much I bought 4 more. Customer service with this company is EXCELLENT they helped me remotely and didn’t stop until we had a solution to the issue. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product from this company. Not sure why people in the past have had problems. Setup is easy. The image is clear day and night. NO problems connecting to my camera or any of my Kasa devices on a cellular network away from home and no problems at home with Wi-Fi. Not sure why people have problems there too. There is NO port to forward in your router, it just works pure and simple like all the rest of Kasa devices. Notifications come in every time my cat walks into the room, and the Kasa app notifies me that motion has been detected. With all that said, you do need a bit of home networking knowledge, but other than that it's easy. If you want to record just add a memory card and offload the image afterwards. Please note that higher quality settings will require more memory space. Get yourself one!
